Summary: This article discusses how the CEO mindset 🧠 - meaning the decision-making skills, 🗯 communication effectiveness, and forward-thinking , strategic approach of high-level executives - can be applied in other areas of life outside of business. This can be done by establishing a  clear vision 🔮 in whatever area is being addressed, setting clear goals ✅, and creating & executing a strategic plan of action. Consider delegating in your personal life, and establishing relationships that allow you to show up as the 🌟 CEO version 🌟of yourself. Because of the connection between our personal and professional lives, bringing the CEO mindset to your personal life can actually lead to positive impacts in your professional life.

My Thoughts: I am in total agreement that the way we show up outside of our businesses impacts our success, and I love this perspective of bringing the principles of the CEO mindset out into our daily lives. It's not about learning a new way of existing, but actually just transferring the skills & perspectives from one area to another!
 

Summary: This article examines Elon Musk's leadership style on the basis that whether you 💖 love him or ❌  hate him, his leadership has been effective in getting people behind him. Specifically, it looks at Musk's inspiration from Napoleon Bonaparte and how there is motivating power ⚡️ for employees in "seeing their general on the battlefield." This is in part because of the Social Identity Theory, which explains how individuals perceive their own identity based on the groups they belong to. In the case of Musk, his position as a symbolic figure, influence on group norms, and ability to inspire shared goals and show up as an example of his own values are what allow him to make a ☄️ notable impact as a leader.

My Thoughts: Elon Musk is a controversial leader to say the least, so it is interesting to take a look at why he has been able to lead so successfully. While we may not be striving to be the next Elon Musk, there's something to learn here about how to get others on board with your mission and vision.
